Current open positions:

  • Charge Nurse – PM Shift: 8-hour shift (2:15 – 10:45) – (0.8 position)

  • Charge Nurse – NOC Shift: 12-hour shift (6:00 pm – 6:00 am) – (0.8 position)

  • Charge Nurse – PRN: 8 or 12 hour shifts

Responsibilities for Charge Nurse positions:

  • Works under the direction of the DON to monitor resident’s needs and changes in condition, conducting focused assessments when appropriate and reporting results.

  • Follow resident care plans developed by the Interdisciplinary Team.

  • Orders, sets up, and administers medications and treatments per Valley Care and Rehab policies and procedures.

  • Supervise CNA and TMA staff as they complete tasks, monitor quality of care, provide education as needed.

  • Comply with facility policies and procedures and making recommendations for revisions

  • Supervise admission, discharges, and transfers

  • Communicate and follow up on physician orders, document clinical notes
